The process
No mystery, no handoffs, no wondering who's showing up. Here's exactly how a project runs — and who you're dealing with at every stage.
Six stages
The same sequence whether it's a driveway, a deck or a bathroom — scaled to the size of the job.
We come out, measure the space, and look at the things that decide how the job has to be built — grade, drainage, soil, and whether a machine can get in. We talk through what you're picturing. No charge, no obligation.
You get a detailed written quote broken into real line items — excavation, base, materials, borders, labour — not one vague number labelled "driveway". You can see what each part costs and decide what's worth it.
Once the quote is approved we lock in dates you can actually plan around. If the build needs a City of Kingston permit for its height, size or setback, we tell you — rather than hoping nobody asks.
Old surfaces come out and get hauled away. The area is excavated to the depth your soil actually needs and the granular base is built up and compacted in lifts. This is the invisible stage that decides whether the job still looks right in ten years.
Pavers, decking, tile or trim goes in — with the owner on site, not a rotating crew. The work area gets tidied at the end of each day, because it's your home and you still have to live there.
We walk the finished project with you and sort out anything that isn't right. Debris and excavated material are hauled away, and the final look happens on a clean site.
What doesn't change
The reason the process is this straightforward is that there's no chain of command in it. The person who quotes your project is the person who builds it. There's no salesperson who disappears after you sign and no subcontracted crew who've never spoken to you.
That matters most when something unexpected turns up — poor drainage under an old driveway, an unstable sub-base, an out-of-level subfloor behind a bathroom wall. You get told what was found, what the options are and what the extra work costs, before anything happens. Not a surprise line on a final invoice.
