Interlock, decks & renovations in Bath, Ontario

Settled in 1784, Bath is one of Ontario’s oldest villages — a main street of Loyalist-era landmarks beside a shoreline of brand-new builds. We work both ends of that street with equal care.

Serving Bath

Where Ontario’s main street began

Bath was laid out by Loyalists in 1784 and it shows in the best way: the 1811 Bath Academy, the layered church hall locals call the Layer Cake, and block after block of houses that predate Confederation. Alongside them, the waterfront and the golf-course lands have brought a generation of new homes that deserve the same permanence.

From our Kingston base it’s a straight run down the Loyalist Parkway — about 25 minutes — and the owner handles every Bath project personally, from the first measurement to the last cut.

Local knowledge

Heritage streets, waterfront standards

Working beside two-hundred-year-old architecture teaches restraint: a driveway or walkway in Bath should frame the house, not shout over it. We lean on classic laying patterns, muted paver palettes and the crisp charcoal soldier course to give heritage properties an edge that looks like it was always there.

On the newer streets and the shoreline, the enemy is the lake itself — wind-driven rain and hard freeze-thaw. Proper excavation, compacted base, frost-depth footings and drainage pitched away from the house are non-negotiable on every Bath build we take on.

Bath FAQ

Working with Gonzo in Bath

Do you travel to Bath for small projects?
Yes. Bath is about 25 minutes from Kingston along the Loyalist Parkway — comfortably inside our service area. Walkways, front steps, fence runs and single-room renovations are all worth the drive; send us the details and we’ll quote it straight.
Can you work on older or heritage-style properties in Bath?
That’s some of our favourite work. We choose pavers, patterns and borders that suit period homes, keep grades and sightlines sympathetic to the streetscape, and treat existing stonework and mature landscaping with the care a two-century-old village deserves.
What’s involved in getting a quote in Bath?
The same three steps as everywhere we work: tell us the project, we walk the site with you, and you get a transparent itemized quote — no pressure, no vague allowances. If timing matters (a wedding on the deck, a listing date), say so and we’ll plan around it.
