The farmers who cleared Elginburg stacked what they pulled from the fields into walls that still line Unity Road and Sydenham Road today. It’s a corner of Kingston where stone has always been the building material of record — which makes it a natural fit for what we do.

That’s good news when you build for it: rock makes a stable sub-base if the granular layers above it are placed and compacted properly, and drainage is planned so water never sits between stone and stone.
